The Frustration With Grey

Our journey began when we would go to visit our Dad, George at the cemetery. We would drive to several shops to bring fresh flowers we purchased from local stores which we would arrange in a style that George would have preferred and go visit our Dad with these amazing fresh flowers only to find they would eventually shrivel, wither and die within days.

Most cemeteries are normally dominated with grey and black or neutral and monotone colours predominately cold colours which our Dad was a gentlemanly, warm friendly guy that reflected style, class, and was always able to create ambience, colour a place or room that was grey with his ambience, therefore we knew he would wish for those flowers to last in a cold place of rest. We would purchase these flowers to add colour which was importance to us, to add joy, add a smile, to reflect his character who, himself loved flowers vibrant and brilliant in colour especially carnations that he loved the most.

George loved carnations which we would fashion one behind his right ear under his white straw fedora or if he wasn’t able to buy a carnation, he would pick a sprig of basil to tuck in behind his ear as you would with a pencil.

We believe our dad deserves the best even being in the After Life. So, because of these fresh flowers withering within days, we envision beautiful arrangements of silk flowers, either Carnations, Roses, Peony’s to give to our dad a splash of colour to the cold marble gray’s that stands as a remembrance of the man.

As we visit our Dad regularly, people would always comment on the flower arrangements for our Dad, George.

The Gifts After Life artificial flowers was a whisper on one of those visits to George, as he decided to set us on a journey to travel the world visiting with  manufacturers to produce beautiful handcrafted silk flowers that he would have wished, deserved and we believe your loved ones deserve the right to have these beautiful flowers arrangements as well.

We often intend to leave our friends and family a personal piece of ourselves in the form of some meaningful gift or token; but more often than not we never get around to it due to things keep coming up. When someone feels that they’ve lost a loved one, it only seems right to leave them something to show them that we haven’t forgotten about them – even if we can’t be there by their side in person all the time. At Gifts After Life, we help people honor and bring meaning back into an individual’s life as well as provide a very unique experience for everyone affected by life’s setbacks with a wide selection of Faux Flowers to leave, to honour, to show that someone still cares by the arrangement of flowers displayed on the gravesite.

Leaving gifts for loved ones that have pass at their gravesite and being able to have one for yourself or for other family members and friends.

The process of healing is a delicate one for many of us. To walk through it successfully, others need to be there for you and vice versa. Life is short – make sure to help the people you love live life to the fullest.

This is how the journey for Gifts After Life was born.

All Thanks to George, who we miss so deeply.

We miss You, George!
